1. OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
FansCritic is an adult platform, but adult does not mean unsafe. We take three categories of safety seriously:
- User safety - protecting subscribers from scams, fake profiles, and exploitation
- Performer safety - protecting the people depicted in content from doxxing, harassment, and non-consensual exposure
- Child safety - zero tolerance for underage content, enforced with automated detection and manual review
This page covers how we protect you and how you can protect yourself.
2. AGE VERIFICATION & 18+ POLICY
- FansCritic is strictly 18+. You must be 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to access the site.
- All creators listed on FansCritic are verified by their origin platform (e.g. OnlyFans) to be 18+.
- If you believe any profile on our site depicts a person under 18, contact us immediately. We will investigate and remove within 24 hours where warranted.
3. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR MINORS
Any content that appears to depict a minor in any sexualized manner is absolutely and immediately removed, and reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in accordance with U.S. federal law.
We apply automated scanning to user-uploaded media and operate a 24-hour reporting channel. If you have seen something that concerns you:
- On FansCritic: Contact us with the URL
- On OnlyFans directly: use OnlyFans' in-platform reporting
- To authorities (U.S.): NCMEC CyberTipline - report.cybertip.org
4. PROTECTING YOUR DATA
Read the full Privacy Policy for details. The short version:
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We log the minimum data needed to operate the service (IP, user agent, page visited).
- We use cookies for session and analytics; you can block them in your browser.
- We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS site-wide).
- Account deletion is available - contact us via the Contact page.
5. SPOTTING SCAMS & FAKE PROFILES
Common scams in the adult creator space - watch for these red flags:
5.1 Impersonation accounts
Scammers copy a popular creator's photos and bio onto a new account with a slightly different username. Always check:
- Is the creator linked from their official verified social media (Twitter/X, Instagram)?
- Does the FansCritic profile page match the username on OnlyFans exactly?
- Is there a cross-verification of identity (e.g. handwritten sign in a recent post)?
5.2 "Free" trial bait
A creator offers "free access" then pressures you to pay for individual unlocks once you're in. Trial access is legitimate - but what's unlocked on the trial should be clearly described in advance. When in doubt, read recent reviews.
5.3 Off-platform payment requests
Never send money off-platform. If anyone - claiming to be the creator or their "agent" - asks you to pay via PayPal, CashApp, crypto, or gift cards, it is a scam. OnlyFans processes all legitimate payments inside the platform.
5.4 Personal info requests
Creators do not need your real name, home address, ID, or employer. Any request like this is a scam or a potential extortion setup.
5.5 Too-good-to-be-true DMs
Unsolicited DMs from a "creator" you never subscribed to, offering custom content at unusually low prices, are almost always operated by agencies or scammers, not the creator themselves.
6. STAYING SAFE AS A SUBSCRIBER
- Use a pseudonym. Your OnlyFans username does not need to be your real name.
- Use a dedicated payment method if possible - a prepaid or virtual card limits exposure.
- Do not share personal identifying info in DMs - full name, employer, home address, real phone number, or ID.
- Keep subscription business on-platform. Payments, content, and disputes all belong on OnlyFans itself.
- Read recent reviews first. A creator with no reviews, or only reviews from 2+ years ago, is higher risk.
- Expect drama-free refunds to be rare. OnlyFans' refund policy is restrictive. If a creator's content does not match its description, report to OnlyFans and to us.
7. REPORTING FAKE PROFILES ON FANSCRITIC
If you find a FansCritic profile that:
- impersonates someone who never consented to being listed
- uses someone else's photos
- appears inactive for more than 60 days
- contains links that are broken or redirect to unrelated sites
→ Report it via the Contact page. Include the profile URL.
We investigate every report. Confirmed impersonation profiles are taken down.
8. ACCOUNT SECURITY
For your FansCritic account:
- Use a unique, strong password (password manager recommended).
- Never reuse your OnlyFans password.
- If offered 2FA on OnlyFans or any creator platform, enable it.
- Never click links in unsolicited emails claiming to be from FansCritic or OnlyFans. We will never ask for your password by email.
9. PRIVACY WHILE BROWSING
Your browsing habits on an adult site are sensitive. Practical steps:
- Use a private/incognito window when browsing shared devices.
- Clear cookies regularly, or use a browser profile dedicated to adult browsing.
- Consider a reputable VPN if your ISP throttles or logs adult traffic, or if you're on a network (work, campus) where the activity could be flagged.
- Adjust your OnlyFans account privacy settings (location, payment card display, and "show my subscriptions" options).
10. IF YOU'VE BEEN SCAMMED
Immediate steps:
- Stop contact. Block the account on OnlyFans and all linked platforms.
- Report to OnlyFans. Use their in-app reporting for impersonation, fraud, or non-delivery.
- Report to FansCritic. Contact us with the profile URL and any evidence so we can take down the fake profile and warn other users.
- Contact your bank. If money went off-platform, you may be able to initiate a chargeback.
- If minors are involved: report to NCMEC (report.cybertip.org) and local law enforcement.
- If you were extorted or blackmailed: report to the FBI's IC3 (ic3.gov) in the U.S., or your national cybercrime authority.
You are not alone, and you did nothing wrong by using an adult platform. Scams are the fault of the scammer.
